Property in Fitzrovia
COST PER SQ FT £XXX
Situated next to London’s prime central gems of Marylebone and Mayfair, Fitzrovia’s locality is unrivalled. Being on the doorstep of the West End hubs of Soho and Covent Garden, Fitzrovia attracts city dwellers who want the bright lights at their fingertips. With its tree lined streets and great choice of restaurants and al fresco dining, Fitzrovia has a distinctly continental atmosphere.
Fitzrovia has long been known as home to the best known names in media, including MTV Networks Europe, Saatchi & Saatchi and a plethora of post-production companies and advertising agencies. However in recent years, many of the larger organisations have started to move from Fitzrovia with many of their offices undergoing residential conversion.
Buying in Fitzrovia
Ftizrovia’s property stock is made up overwhelmingly of apartments with very few houses. The majority of the older period apartments are converted from large Georgian Townhouses, some unofficially converted several decades ago. This has resulted in a significant number of apartments that are less appealing and can suffer structural issues.
But, the same as its neighbour to the east - Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia is benefitting from high spec developments that rival many of those found in prime central neighbourhoods. Many of these new developments are at the cutting edge of residential architectural design and offer buyers some of the most unique apartments in London.
Fitzrovia’s proximity to the prime areas of Mayfair and Marylebone are a strong attraction for buyers who want a central Pied a Terre at half the cost.
Strengths
